As stated in the about section, I started UNO MAS’ RECORDS in the beginning of 2007.

I liked the way the title made reference to my name: Mark A. Shields.

And then add the apostrophe.

I liked the way uno and mas as words not english almost made a reference to some of the sweetest points to earn in the game of basketball which are the points earned when a foul was encountered IN THE ACT of shooting and to the free throw line we go.

ADD ONE.

And also phonetically uno mas’ is said UNO MASSES and I like the poetic undertones of we’re all in this together.

So.

That said, a few years back due to the range of the internet I saw someone in the UK had also chose a similar name for their label (UNO MAS RECORDS) and are currently to be found at unomasrecords.com.

I guess seeing how neither one of us are Global Icons yet, it’s not like we were copying each other and so if someone is looking for me and stumbles upon the electronic music they have and videos/film projects they have been involved with, to me, I guess I’m glad to send some traffic their way and perhaps we’ll meet up someday.

And.

Perhaps someone will discover something new they enjoy.

But.

It’s cool to see someone else somewhat identify with life in the same way you do in small ways sometimes.
